The short version
AuraPixel is a local-first desktop application. Your financial data never leaves your computer through us. We cannot see, access, sell, or lose your ledger — because we never have it.
What the desktop app does
- Stores all ledger data in a local file on your device. No account registration, no cloud database, no proprietary sync server.
- Fetches exchange rates from a public rate service (open.er-api.com). These requests contain currency codes only — never amounts, account names, or any personal data.
- The optional AI interface (MCP) listens on localhost only and is unreachable from external networks. It is read-only by default. If you connect a cloud AI client (e.g. Claude Desktop), your conversation content goes to that model provider under their privacy policy; connect a local model for fully offline AI use.
- License activation for Pro is fully offline. We do not know when, where, or how often you activate.
What this website collects
- Vercel Web Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookie-less, aggregated page-view and event statistics (e.g. download clicks). No cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers.
- Beta application form: if you voluntarily submit the beta form, we store your name, email, profession, and answers in a private Notion database, used solely to manage the beta program and contact you. Email support@aurapixel.dev anytime to view or delete your submission.
- Download files are served via Vercel Blob storage; standard server logs (IP, timestamp) are retained briefly by our hosting provider (Vercel) under their privacy policy.
What we never collect
Your asset amounts, account details, snapshots, life events, AI conversations, or license usage. We have no servers capable of receiving them.
Your rights
Since we hold almost no personal data, most data-rights requests are trivially satisfied: your ledger is yours, on your machine, deletable by you at any time. For beta-form data, email us for access or deletion.
